Drone Gives Aerial View of Homes Flattened by Tornado in Mississippi Neighborhood

A tornado flattened several homes in a neighborhood in Senatobia, Mississippi, on April 2, during storms that impacted northern parts of the state, as well as Tennessee, Arkansas, and Missouri.

Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves said six people were injured in the state. No fatalities were reported.

The City of Senatobia issued a press release confirming that warning sirens did not go off during the storms on Wednesday.

“Efforts to activate the early warning sirens were made, but unfortunately, they did not function as intended due to possible weather-related interference,” the city said, adding that an investigation was underway to determine the cause of the failure.
