Lego fans have been meeting in Deerfield Township to show off Lego creations and compete every April since 2014, a string broken only by a pandemic.
According to De’Ann James-Burger, program assistant for the Cumberland County 4-H Lego Palooza, these Lego creations can be brought in for display and for judging.
“There will also be hands-on interactive Lego challenges for the participants and the general public,” she said.
The Cumberland County 4-H Lego Palozza is set to return Sunday, April 13 at the extension center.
This event, which requires registration, runs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. It’s open to those from kindergarten age through age 19 and from the surrounding counties.

“The draw kind of depends on the year, but we usually get 30-plus youth and adults attending,” James-Burger said.
For information and the registration form, you can contact the 4-H office by calling 856-451-2800, extension 3, by sending an email to paigeva@cumberlandcountynj.gov or by visiting the website at cumberlandnj4h.com.

The county 4-H has a Lego 4-H Club that meets the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the 4-H Klem Building at 291 Morton Avenue. The 4-H Lego Club is open to youths from Kindergarten age through the first year out of high school.
Lego use is popular in many settings. Separate from the 4-H, for example, the Cumberland County Library and county’s technical education center have their own Lego clubs. County library club members meet monthly.
